What happens in a Cancer Care Support Group?

Our groups provide a safe, supportive space for cancer patients and caregivers to come together to learn, share experiences and find encouragement. Most welcome both patients and caregivers, while some groups are patient-only.

Do I have to share?

You’re never required to speak in our support groups. It’s okay to simply listen until you feel comfortable. Hearing others’ experiences can be comforting, offer valuable insight, and may even help you support others facing similar challenges.

Respect confidentiality

Our support groups are built on trust and mutual respect. The personal stories shared within the group are deeply meaningful and must remain confidential. Maintaining privacy allows everyone to speak openly, ensuring a safe and supportive environment where participants feel comfortable sharing their experiences.

No question is too silly

Never hesitate to ask questions—this is your place to learn, share, and advocate for your needs. If something is unclear or you have a different perspective, don’t be afraid to ask questions! Your voice matters, and you may be helping someone who hasn’t yet found the courage to ask. Just remember to be respectful and open in your discussions.
